Olympica Gymnastics took on Regionals last month with some of the best competitors from California, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. Our Level 8-10s competed in Reno, Nevada on April 13th-15th.
Sarah Quan was crowned Level 8 REGIONAL CHAMPION on both Bars (9.70) and Beam (9.65). She placed 2nd on Floor with a 9.50 and 2nd AA with a 38.05. Ali Karner also finished 2nd in the AA with a 37.975 and took home the Silver medal on Vault (9.50), and Bronze on Bars (9.60). Natalie Bray represented SoCal in the team final which took FIRST PLACE, leaving Northern California and Arizona in 2nd and 3rd, respectively .
Level 9, Anna Vultaggio, had her best meet of the year and qualified for the Western National Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah! Great Job!
Our Level 7’s traveled to Chandler, Arizona to compete in their own Region 1 Champs the following week. Julia Rojas won the Regional Title on Bars with a score of 9.725, while placing 2nd on Floor with a 9.575, and 2nd in the AA with a HUGE 38.25! Kaitlyn Driessen and Dylan Tanner both placed FIRST on Floor in their age groups with a 9.60 and 9.575, and Regan Johnson finished 2nd with a 9.575.
