Olympica Gymnastics hosted the Pacific Classic at SOKA University March 3-5, finishing the weekend with 26 top three finishes and two team silver medals.

The Level 6 team won silver, bringing the team’s medal count to four top three team wins in the season. In the Junior A division, Dana Point’s Misha Parsons was strong on beam to win gold with a 9.525 along with a bronze place finish in the all around (37.150). Julia Rojas (San Clemente) earned silver on bars (9.125) and beam (9.425). In the Junior B division, Kaitlyn Driessen (Rancho Mission Viejo) won gold on floor (9.450) and bronze on beam (9.375). Laguna Hills’ Hannah Richards won bronze on vault (9.375) while teammate James Groat (San Juan Capistrano) shone on beam, winning gold with a 9.425. In Senior A action, Ella Proctor (Ladera Ranch) won three silver medals on beam (9.325), floor (9.350), and the all around (37.025). San Clemente’s Regan Johnson won silver on beam with a 9.325.

Olympica’s Level 6 team also placed second collectively, bringing their season’s medal count to four top two finishes. In the Junior B division, Mission Viejo’s Kayla Grier starred on vault to win gold with a 9.600 and silver on bars (9.425). Sage Nichols (Ladera Ranch) won bronze on vault (9.450) and the all around (37.550). In the Junior C division, Dana Point’s Natalie Bray won gold on vault (9.475), silver on floor (9.400) and the all around (37.250). Bray also won bronze on bars (9.450). Teammate Sarah Quan won her fourth gold of the season on bars with a 9.550 and tied with Bray on floor to take silver (9.400). Mission Viejo’s Zita Conot won bronze on vault in the Junior A division with a 9.400.

Level 8 gymnast, Jessica Wright (Lake Forest) came in third in the all around with a season’s best score of 36.950.

Level 9 gymnasts contributed to Olympica’s success as well. Tustin’s Brielle Benoski won bronze on bars with a (9.025) in the Junior C division. Ladera Ranch’s Lauren Robertson won bronze on bars in the Senior A division with a 9.150.
